Regulatory Affairs & Issues Management

The Regulatory & Issues Management Program manages the Standards Branch participation within the Canadian Aviation Regulation Advisory Council (CARAC) process, including all aspects of stakeholder consultation regarding proposed regulatory changes. The Program is also responsible for the management, coordination, research and development of external communications products for the Branch including ministerial briefing material, Questions and Answers, Question Period Notes, Memoranda to the Minister, media lines and Access to Information & Privacy (ATIP) requests.

As an adjunct to this role, the Regulatory & Issues Management Program also serves as the Branch point of contact regarding International Civil Aviation Organization State Letters and the review of reports from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB).
