You may complete the application to become a flight reviewer after:
- You successfully complete the Flight Reviewer Exam
- have 6 months of experience operating a drone while holding a drone Pilot certificate – Advanced Operations
- You’ve familiarized yourself with the Flight Reviewer’s Guide for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
- Meeting the Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems.
After you apply
Only flight reviewers that are affiliated with a drone flight school can legally conduct flight reviews.
You can contact one of the schools on the drone flight school list to request affiliation. A school that accepts your request must notify Transport Canada of the affiliation. Transport Canada will notify you when the affiliation is complete, and you may then conduct flight reviews and submit flight review results online.
How long it will take to get your results
You are given the results of your online exam right after it finishes.
