The 2026 Transport Canada Aviation Safety award nomination process is open as of October 1st, 2025. The nomination deadline is January 23rd, 2026.
Purpose
Transport Canada’s Aviation Safety Award is given to Canadians and Canadian organizations (groups, companies, agencies or departments) that have made a significant and outstanding contribution to aviation safety in Canada.
The award was presented every year from 1988 to 2014, before being relaunched in 2021.
Prize
Winners will receive a certificate signed by the Minister of Transport. Their name will also be etched onto a plaque in Transport Canada’s offices in Ottawa.
