This will help in developing new guidance for air and airport operators in the delivery of assistance to aircraft accident victims and their families.

- who have been directly involved in an aircraft accident
- who have had loved ones involved in an aircraft accident
- who have delivered assistance to victims or family members following an aircraft accident

Transport Canada consults publicly to maintain the safety and security of Canada’s transportation system. Responses to this survey will inform a new document to guide air operators and airport operators in the delivery of assistance to aircraft accident victims and their families.
The information you provide will be collected by Transport Canada under the Minister of Transport’s responsibilities respecting aeronautics, as provided for under section 4.2(1) of the Aeronautics Act, and handled in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Responses will be accessed by Transport Canada officials involved in the administration, analysis, and reporting of the survey. While the survey does not request identifying information, responses may contain personal or sensitive information. Responses will be aggregated during analysis and will not be used to identify individuals.
Your participation is voluntary. If you choose to participate but later change your mind, you may request the withdrawal of your responses by contacting tc.internationalaviation-aviationinternationale.tc@tc.gc.ca no later than September 1, 2026. After this date, individual survey responses will be aggregated, at which point it may no longer be feasible to identify or remove your specific information.
You have the right to request access to, and correction of, your personal information. You also have a right to file a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you feel your personal information has been handled improperly.
