Accessibility feedback process at Transport Canada

In July 2019, the Accessible Canada Act strives to make Canada barrier-free by January 1, 2040. To do so the Act requires us to identify, remove and prevent barriers in federal jurisdiction in seven of priority areas.

A “barrier” is anything that keeps a person with a disability from participating fully and equally in society. A “disability” is any physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment or functional limitation.

We want to hear if you've experienced a barrier while dealing with the department about:

  • working at Transport Canada
  • offices or facilities
  • information communication technologies
  • other communication technologies
  • buying goods, services, or facilities
  • how programs or services are designed or delivered
  • transportation

How we will handle your feedback

Transport Canada's Diversity and Inclusion Action Team will receive your feedback and review it with care. 

They will analyze and decide what action to take. They may also contact you to follow-up on your feedback.
