Chris is the Director of Strategic Services at Transport Canada and is responsible for executive correspondence, corporate governance and internal modernization initiatives within the Executive Office.
Prior to joining the Corporate Secretariat, Chris was the Senior Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Safety and Security where he managed an array of issues with a nexus to the transportation system. Previously, Chris has been the Executive Advisor to the Associate Deputy Minister and has held policy advisor roles that contributed to the modernization of Canada’s commercial space launch regime and the advancement of Oceans Protection Plan initiatives.
Before joining Transport Canada, Chris worked at Public Safety Canada in strategic policy and began his public service career at the Office of the Veterans Ombudsman where he conducted systemic reviews. Chris entered the Public Service as a student in the Federal Student Work Experience Program.
Chris holds a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Public Affairs and Policy Analysis from Carleton University.
