Chantal Roy was appointed to the position of Chief Audit and Evaluation Executive, (as well as Integrity Officer) in February 2021.
Chantal started her career in the private sector, where she spent eight years as a management consultant, specializing in program evaluations for a variety of government clients and in the development and review of performance measurement frameworks. She joined the federal government in 2000 and continued to work in program evaluation and performance measurement in various positions at Health Canada, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Before joining Transport Canada, Chantal was leading the development of a strengthened enterprise risk management program for ESDC under the direction of the departmental Chief Risk Officer. She has also held positions at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Public Services and Procurement Canada, and the Labour Program.
Chantal holds an undergraduate degree in Arts (with a specialization in Communications) and an M.B.A. (with a specialization in International Management), both from the University of Ottawa. She also holds a business degree in international management from the École supérieure de commerce de Reims in France, which she earned as part of her M.B.A. program.
