Jimmy Brackenridge is Transport Canada’s Corporate Secretary and transition concierge, a role he has held since 2022.
He joined Transport Canada in 2002 as a Parliamentary Affairs Advisor. In 2008, he moved to Infrastructure Canada as Chief of Parliamentary and Cabinet Affairs, where he was responsible for managing relationships with ministers’ offices and overseeing parliamentary business in support of deputy ministers.
In 2012, Jimmy returned to Transport Canada as Chief of Parliamentary Affairs. He has since held several executive positions within the Executive Offices, including serving as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister from 2020 to 2022. In that role, he supported the Deputy Minister during the COVID-19 pandemic and led work to strengthen departmental governance, improve decision-making processes, and enhance integrated support to deputy ministers and the Minister of Transport.
