Diono LiteClik30 XT SafePlus Infant Car Seats – Non-Compliance for Handle Position Instructions

Issue:

Transtek Industries Inc. dba Diono (“Diono”) is informing the public of a non-compliance for certain Diono LiteClik30 XT SafePlus Infant Car Seat and Base systems made between July 24th, 2024, and October 12th, 2024. Specifically, Diono has concluded that certain infant car seats may not meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations as some labels and instructions for the recommended use-positions of the carry handle may be missing or incorrect.

Safety Risk:

Incorrect positioning of the carry handle could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Important: When the carrier is installed with the base you may use handle position 2 only. do not use any other handle positions, as the carrier may detach during a collision.

Company Actions:

Diono will notify registered owners in writing and provide you with a new handle position label and an insert for the owner’s manual with correct handle position instructions.

You should contact Diono to obtain a free label and owner’s manual insert and instructions for how to install the label.

Consumer Recourse:
