Evenflo Car Seats – Non-Compliance for U.S. certified infant/child seats incorrectly shipped to Canada

Issue:

Evenflo Company, Inc. and its Canadian subsidiary Goodbaby Canada, Inc. (“Evenflo”) are informing the public of a non-compliance for certain Evenflo car seats made between 2024 and 2025.  Specifically, Evenflo has concluded that certain car seats do not meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations as some individual units manufactured and certified for use in the United States were inadvertently shipped to Canada.

Safety Risk:

Although similar, U.S. and Canada have different requirements for infant/child seats. One difference is that the labels and instructions are required to be in both official languages.  As a result, the French labels and instructions would be missing from the U.S. certified seats, which could cause confusion, incorrect installation and use, and may increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Company Actions:

Evenflo will notify registered owners in writing and replace their U.S. intent product with the Canadian intent equivalent.  For the Pivot Xpand travel system, Evenflo will replace the LiteMax seat and provide you with an updated instruction manual for the stroller that includes French instructions. For the Omni Ultra travel system, Evenflo will replace the Revolve180 LiteMax NXT seat.  For the Revolve360 Extend models, Evenflo will replace the seat.

If your stroller or infant/child seat is missing French instructions and/or a French label, you should contact Evenflo to obtain free replacement(s).

Consumer Recourse:

The affected car seats should not be returned to retailers. Consumers must register their car seat online or call Evenflo’s customer care team (see ‘consumer contact’ above) to register.
