Issue:

EI Brands Management Inc. (Nuna Canada) wants the public to know about a product update for some Nuna Rava convertible car seats. The seats include a functional front adjuster locking mechanism. In order for the seat to work properly and safely, it's important to keep the mechanism clean, because food or debris can interfere with its operation.

Company action:

To reduce the risk of food or debris entering into the mechanism, Nuna Canada is providing a new seat pad that covers the locking mechanism. To remove debris that may have built-up, Nuna Canada is also providing a free cleaning kit to use before installing the new seat pad and for cleaning the mechanism afterward.

Transport Canada recommends checking that the harness straps stay tight by pulling on the straps every time you place a child in the car seat. Learn how to test a car seat's harness function.

If the straps loosen, food or debris can block the locking mechanism.

Follow the instructions to clean the mechanism, and if issues continue, contact Nuna Canada at 1-800-667-4111 or info@nunababy.ca.
