The Canadian Coast Guard’s Risk-Based Analysis of Maritime Search and Rescue Delivery (RAMSARD) is a review process to identify, assess and address maritime risks in search and rescue areas in Canada.
Over the last four years, comprehensive risk-based reviews have been carried out in 22 of the 40 search and rescue areas across Canada.
Through the next phase of the Oceans Protection Plan, RAMSARD will expand to include the Arctic region. The program will also address challenges that have been identified through the review process.
