There are up to 29 coastal Arctic communities that do not currently have a community supply of environmental response equipment.
In the next phase of the Oceans Protection Plan, this initiative will improve preparedness to respond to oil spills in the Arctic by setting up community environmental response equipment supply in more communities that are at a higher risk of oil spills.
