Renewing the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary is a network of volunteer organizations dedicated to marine search and rescue and promoting boating safety.

The Oceans Protection Plan funded the creation of the Coastal Nations Coast Guard Auxiliary in British Columbia. It also funded an Arctic Auxiliary chapter and provided Auxiliary volunteers access to environmental response training.

Through the next phase of the Oceans Protection Plan, the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary will receive an increase in contribution funding to help sustain and grow their response capacity in support of marine safety on our coasts.
