Response to the Auditor General (including to the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development)
Spring 2015 Reports of the Auditor General, Report 2 - Required Reporting by Federal Organizations.
This report focused on Treasury Board Secretariat and Public Service Commission reporting requirements to determine whether they have clear purposes and timelines, and the information generated in response to selected reporting requirements is used to support accountability and decision making. The audit also looked at whether selected departments that included Transport Canada are efficiently meeting these reporting requirements.
The report found that TC meets the reporting requirements that were examined in the audit and uses the information from these for their intended purposes of accountability, transparency and internal decision making.
There were no recommendations directed at the Department.
