This session provides a high-level overview of the regional ITS architectures, including key concepts and benefits, and a deeper dive into the development process using the ARC-IT Regional Architecture Development for Intelligent Transportation (RAD-IT) tool. Key goals and objectives of the session include providing an understanding of the purpose and fundamentals of developing a regional ITS architecture, and to provide attendees with a base understanding and familiarity of the RAD-IT tool. Please note, this session is not a regional architecture development workshop (attendees will not be developing a regional architecture or using RAD-IT). This session may be of interest to transportation practitioners that may be involved in developing customized ITS architectures, particularly those that may be involved, either directly developing or managing the effort.
