The National Supply Chain Office hosted the first National Supply Chain Forum on December 15, 2023. Over 300 people attended the virtual event, which marked the beginning of a series aimed at providing information about initiatives related to supply chains and insights into sectoral trends, while offering a dedicated avenue for supply chain participants to share information and ask questions.
Sessions at the first forum included:
- An update on the vision and early priorities for the National Supply Chain Office;
- Information from Labour Canada on the role of the federal government in labour disputes;
- An overview of the recent public consultation by the federal government on regulatory opportunities to improve the efficiency and resiliency of Canada's supply chains; and,
- An overview of the impact of global and domestic economic, labour, environmental, and societal drivers on transportation performance and outlook from Transport Canada’s Chief Economist.
