National Supply Chain Forum

The National Supply Chain Office hosted the first National Supply Chain Forum on December 15, 2023. Over 300 people attended the virtual event, which marked the beginning of a series aimed at providing information about initiatives related to supply chains and insights into sectoral trends, while offering a dedicated avenue for supply chain participants to share information and ask questions.

Sessions at the first forum included:

  • An update on the vision and early priorities for the National Supply Chain Office;
  • Information from Labour Canada on the role of the federal government in labour disputes;
  • An overview of the recent public consultation by the federal government on regulatory opportunities to improve the efficiency and resiliency of Canada's supply chains; and,
  • An overview of the impact of global and domestic economic, labour, environmental, and societal drivers on transportation performance and outlook from Transport Canada’s Chief Economist.
