We are proud to announce that our new Let’s Talk Transportation site, has officially launched. You can now access TC’s consultation platform here: consultations.tc.canada.ca or if you are a regular participant you can continue to use the familiar: letstalktransportation.ca.
TC’s updated consultation platform was designed to be user-friendly with enhanced security and accessibility features. Whether you want to share your ideas or provide feedback, this platform was designed as a space for meaningful engagement with our partners, stakeholders and the Canadian public.
Until now, the site has been hosted by a third-party with the digital space and the technical expertise to support our consultation needs. Over time, we’ve built our own internal expertise and re-evaluated how to be more cost-effective and improve how we deliver services.
So, in the past few months, 3 TC teams have worked together to build a new consultation platform. This work focused on creating a modern and secure site that reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen participation.
The new platform includes several big improvements.
Built in-house
By moving away from a third-party host, we’ve cut long-term costs, removed the need for outside help, and made better use of skills from different teams within TC. This supports a culture of learning new skills and improving existing ones.
A new user-friendly interface
The interface isn’t just clean and modern, it’s also much easier to navigate. This site was designed with accessibility in mind by letting us meet people in the digital spaces they use no matter how they access the site.
Better privacy and security
The site is hosted on Canada.ca, a secure and reliable digital network. To participate in a consultation, you’ll need a GCKey, a secure way for Canadians to access services from the Government of Canada.
Easy to recognize
The new platform is easy to identify as a Government of Canada website. It has the Canada.ca domain name along its design and layout. It also contains content in both official languages and considers the diverse needs of users.
