Pursuant to Part X of the Financial Administration Act, VIA Rail must adhere to a number of reporting requirements that allow for the tracking and monitoring of VIA Rail spending, activities and performance such as the corporate planning process, publishing of an annual report, quarterly financial reports, special examinations, and financial statement audits by the Office of the Auditor General. These are reviewed closely by TC, reported to Parliament, and made publicly available to Canadians.
