The numbering scheme for the Regulations, Standards and Advisories is similar in many respects. The diagram below illustrates what each digit represents. Pay close attention to the second digit as it indicates what document type you are looking at.
Also note that the naming convention used for the HTML files is based on these same numbers. This can be of use when you are looking for specific information according to its identification number.
