Transcript

We invested $3.5 billion in the Oceans Protection Plan to keep our coastlines clean.

We’ve played an active role in many key environmental files at the International Maritime Organization.

Like our shared commitment to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from international shipping near 2050.

And at COP26, in 2022, Canada signed on to the Clydebank Declaration to support the establishment of green shipping corridors.

[Joanna Manger, Director General of Marine Safety and Security, Transport Canada]
