Some marks that are currently authorized for use on dangerous goods shipped as a limited quantity will expire on December 31, 2020. To ensure that your consignment is properly marked and to avoid rejected consignments or non-compliances, please note the following requirement in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDGR):
Until 12/31/2020
As per subsection 1.17(5) and 1.17(6) of the TDGR, the following marks for a limited quantity are accepted:

- the words "Limited Quantity"
- the abbreviation "Ltd. Qty."
- the words "Consumer Commodity"; or
- the UN number of each limited quantity of dangerous goods preceded by the letters "UN", placed within a square on point
From 01/01/2021
As per subsection 1.17(5) of the TDGR, only the following marks for a limited quantity are accepted:
Marks in text format and the white square on point with UN number are no longer accepted after December 31, 2020.
