How to submit a Privacy Act request to Transport Canada

To make a request under the Privacy Act, you may complete the Personal Information Request Form and follow the instructions on the form, clearly stating exactly what personal information you seek.

Who can file a request?

• You must either be a Canadian citizen or be in Canada to make a Privacy request.
• If you are not a Canadian citizen or present in Canada, have a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or someone with an address in Canada submit a request for you.

What to include in my request:

• we will not begin to process an e-mail request until our office receives your signature;
• you must include enough detailed information in your request to allow us to locate your personal information;
• please DO NOT include your Social Insurance Number.
