We have officially wrapped up the first phase of OPP!

The result of the first phase of the Oceans Protection Plan is undeniable. Over the course of five years, we made marine traffic safer, incident prevention and response stronger, better protected coastal ecosystems, created stronger partnerships with Indigenous and coastal communities, and built a stronger scientific evidence base.

The Report to Canadians: Investing in our coasts through the Oceans Protection Plan was released on November 7, 2022, and highlights the achievements since OPP’s inception in 2016.
