1.1 To promote an efficient, consistent and transparent approach to ensure proposals for regulations under the Canada Shipping Act, 2001 (CSA, 2001), provide effective enforcement options for marine safety inspectors and others who are required to enforce the regulations on the entry into force of regulations.
1.1 This policy provides clarification on the process of detention order review by the Marine Technical Review Board (MTRB) as set out in the Vessel Detention Orders Review Regulations.
2.1 Applications for a review of a detention order submitted to the National Vice-Chair will be assigned to the Regional Vice-Chair for the region in which the application originated.
1.1 The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on the issuance process of a Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance, a Maritime Labour Certificate or an Interim Labour Certificate.
2.1 This policy is intended to standardize the process for issuing a Maritime Labour Certificate, an Interim Maritime Labour Certificate and a Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance-Part I.
