Overview of results

Overall, we’ve shown continuous improvement in performance since the last reporting cycle.

Most programs met and exceeded performance targets for the department’s mandatory service standards (acknowledging receipt and issuing payment).

Two programs tracked program-specific service standards for reviewing applications and sending draft agreements. These programs also met and exceeded targets.

Performance in 3 of 4 standards improved from last year. There were notable improvements in how quickly we reviewed applications and sent draft agreements (up 10% and 18%, respectively).

Areas for improvement

Each program that did not meet the 2016 to 2017 performance target has prepared a management action plan to address the issue(s) that impacted performance. We’ll monitor the implementation of these action plans to ensure they’re completed. Additionally, we’ll review performance targets to support ongoing improvement of how we deliver grant and contribution programs.

The following tables show the service performance results of each transfer payment program, by service standard.
