Issue:
Peg Perego Canada Inc. and Transport Canada wish to inform the public of an error in both the English instruction manual and the French instruction manual provided with the Primo Viaggio SIP infant carrier produced between May 26, 2006 and May 2, 2007, inclusively. The date of manufacture can be found on a label located on the seat.
Page 7 of the English manual and page 7 of the French version of the instruction manual refer to the weights allowable for usage. The English manual states that the restraint may be used for infants "9 kg or less". The French manual states "pour des enfants dont le poids maximum est de 9 kg". The labelling on the infant carriers state that the restraint may be used for infants between 2.3 kg and 9 kg. The labelling is correct.
The instruction manual has been revised with the correct information.
Peg Perego Canada Inc. and Transport Canada wish to inform all parents and caregivers of the error so as to eliminate any possibility of confusion when following the installation instructions.
