Each year, Transport Canada selects vehicles to test for specific Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS). The tests verify that manufacturers are meeting the requirements under the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. A variety of vehicles and tests are performed which consider the following:
- new models
- vehicle sales
- test history
The following list of reports contains the testing results for the vehicles.
Note: A “Pass” result is only indicative of the test that was performed and not for the complete vehicle. A "Fail" result is not conclusive, rather the first indication of a possible non-compliance that leads to Transport Canada conducting further analysis.
