Training Objective:
The trainee will be able to identify each piece of safety and emergency equipment onboard the operator's aircraft, describe its uses and the procedures associated with its operation.
Scope:

5.1A.1 Define safety and emergency equipment.
5.1A.2 Describe each piece of safety and emergency equipment the operator has available onboard each aircraft based on the following points:
- General description;
- Uses;
- Location(s);
- Pre-flight serviceability check(s);
- Removal from stowage;
- How to operate;
- Conditions for operation;
- Operational limitations;
- Operation under adverse conditions;
- Precautions for use; and
- Care after use.
