Overview
This manual contains policies, procedures and guidelines that pertain to the Approved Check Pilot (ACP) program. It is published for use by both ACPs and Transport Canada Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors (CASIs).
Eleventh Edition
This edition provides minor updates and corrections to the Tenth Edition, Revision One, which was released in May 2024. The need to introduce minor policy updates regarding Contract ACPs is a result of Transport Canada Civil Aviation’s (TCCA) updated surveillance program. Minor corrections and additions have also been provided which better situate the traditional (i.e., standalone) checking program as the basis for present and future enhanced training and checking models.
This document release has been designated Eleventh Edition as cumulative changes including the previous version warranted a new edition.
Who this guide is for
This document is applicable to all individuals, organizations, and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) employees accredited by the Minister as authorized by Part 1, Section 4.3(1) of the Aeronautics Act.
