Scheduled Maintenance Instruction Development Processes

Purpose

This AN is to inform the civil aviation community that Transport Publication (TP) 13850 Scheduled Maintenance Instruction Development Processes is now available. This document should be used when developing scheduled maintenance instructions as part of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) during an initial aircraft type certification process and subsequently when amending the ICA for an approved aircraft type.

Compliance

TP 13850 provides guidance to aircraft type certificate applicants who are preparing scheduled maintenance instructions. Applicants for aircraft being type certified in Canada or intended to be type certified in Canada should review TP 13850 for applicability to their process of developing their Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA). When the CAR Standard 625 at Appendix E is amended TP 13850 will be included by reference.

Effective Date

The TP13850 document is now available for use.
