Curriculum Content/Development
Curriculum content for programs accepted or approved by Transport Canada (TC) for basic training must meet the intent of STD 566, Appendix C (Part 1, and Parts 2, 3 or 4 as applicable). Training Organizations may develop their own curricula or utilize curricula developed by a third party, provided the curricula has been recognized by TC as meeting the intent of the regulatory standard.
The following third party developed curricula are recognized as meeting the intent of STD 566, Appendix C for training content:

Recognition of the identified curricula is only applicable when presented by a TC-Approved Training Organization (ATO), or by a training organization whose programs have been reviewed by TC and deemed acceptable to meet the intent of STD 566, Appendix C.
Presentation/completion of the identified curricula through a third party process or any other means is neither acceptable nor eligible for recognition.
TC recognition of the above-noted curricula relates to the curriculum content requirements for basic (structured) training only, and does not pertain to the TC AME licensing or ATO approval processes.
