95-2003 expired The purpose of this exemption is to change the validity period of a PPC to the first day of the twenty fifth month following the month in which the proficiency check was completed. Allow air operators using the PPC structure provided for under this exemption, that are also authorized in their Air Operator Certificate to conduct RVR 600 take-offs, to have the Chief Pilot, or his or her delegate, certify the pilot-in-command and second-in-command if authorized by the air operator for lower than normal take-off minima, as competent to conduct an RVR 600 take-off at the midpoint of the PPC validity. This certification is in lieu of the annual check within the preceding 12 months in an approved synthetic flight training device by an approved company check pilot or a Transport Canada Inspector.
