Mr. David Cardin

Mr. David Cardin served as President of Maersk Canada for 14 years, capping a long career with the AP Moller-Maersk Group. Prior to arriving in Canada, he lived and worked in the United States of America, Denmark and Mexico. His responsibilities included sales, marketing, liner services, and he managed Maersk’s North American vessel-sharing agreements in the Atlantic, Pacific and Latin American markets. In Mexico and Canada, he started and led Maersk ventures in 3PL logistics, a proprietary scheduled rail service from Manzanillo to Mexico City, trucking and container depots, as well as expanding vessel port coverage.

Mr. Cardin has been involved in work related to the Asia-Pacific Gateway and was a board member of the Shipping Federation of Canada, as well as the Maritime Employers Association in Montreal. He presently serves on the boards of Maersk Supply Service Canada and Milton Hydro.

American-born, Mr. Cardin majored in transportation at the University of Tennessee. In 1999, he settled, with his wife and three sons, in Milton, Ontario. He is proud to enjoy the privileges of Canadian citizenship and looks forward to contributing to the enhancement of Canada’s transportation system.
