What is the Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy?
Transport Canada’s Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy describes:
- Our sustainable development context and vision;
- The actions we will undertake over a four-year period to support the Federal Sustainable Development Strategy; and
- The ways we have integrated a sustainable development approach into our departmental policies, plans and decision-making.
The Government of Canada’s 2022 to 2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy
The 2022 to 2026 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) outlines the Government of Canada’s sustainable development goals and targets, as required by the Federal Sustainable Development Act. This is Canada’s first federal strategy using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and provides a balanced view of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable development.
