Minister of Transport clears Santa Claus for travel in Canadian airspace

[Seen from behind, a now fully dressed Santa is handed a tablet from an assistant. They stand behind a window overseeing a control room.]

[As the tablet lowers, the face is now revealed to show that the person in the Santa suit is the Minister of Transport.]

[The Minister hands the tablet back to the assistant and continues to oversee the control room.]

Minister: “Are the Christmas trees loaded on trains?”

Assistant: “Loaded!”

Minister: “Good. Gingerbread cookies?”

Assistant: “They’ve arrived at the ports!”

Minister: “Good. How about candy canes?”

Assistant: “Also ready and boarded on planes.”

Minister: “Perfect! So, we are ready to…”

[The Minister is suddenly interrupted by a video call on the monitor beside him. The screen displays that the call is from the Prime Minister.]

[The Minister turns towards the screen to answer the call.]

Minister: “Hey, boss!

Prime Minister: “Pablo, what are you doing? You don’t have to deliver the presents yourself. Come on, leave that to Santa… that’s his mandate. Your job is to make sure he’s good to go. The kids are counting on you.”

[The video call ends.]

[The assistant gives the Minister a phone to make a call.]

[Location: Inside Santa’s house.]

[Santa answers the call.]

[Location: Control room.]

[The Minister on the phone.]

Minister: “Santa, we are ready! You can proceed as planned. Safe travels!"

[Location: Inside Santa’s house.]

[Santa hangs up the phone.]

[Location: Control room.]

[The Minister hangs up the phone.]

Minister: “Well, Santa is cleared for travel in Canadian airspace. So, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, happy holidays, and stay safe!”
