CANUTEC’s vision is to promote public safety by being widely recognized as leaders in the provision of chemical emergency response advice, and to enhance Canada's overall preparedness and response in the transportation of dangerous goods sector across Canada. Although many of the calls that CANUTEC's scientists receive deal with transportation of dangerous goods incidents, CANUTEC supports first responders and the general public with other chemical-related issues. To keep the public informed, CANUTEC Emergency Response Advisors have written the following articles to enhance understanding of dangerous goods.
