Ensuring the security of Canada’s marine transportation system is a collaborative effort. In this regard, effective awareness and outreach strategies and practices are an important part of the work that the Marine Security Program undertakes. The Marine Security Program promotes transportation security awareness and good security practices among marine community stakeholders and partners. The Program’s collaborative approach on such issues as policies, regulations or events, includes consultation, information sharing and providing the assistance necessary to ensure industry stakeholders understand current and upcoming obligations under the Marine Security Program’s legislative framework.
