Safe Rail Communities Inc. |
In April 2019, Safe Rail Communities completed the original Safe Rail Canada project (also funded by RSIP-E&A), which began in April 2017. The original project focused on creating a Rail Safety Toolkit for Residents, with versions available on their website in both English and French. They also created a First Nations version in collaboration with First Nations partners. Keen interest from First Nations encouraged SRC to provide these communities with printed copies of our Rail Safety Toolkit. SRC is also committed to: continuing the national promotion of their Rail Safety Toolkit resources, raising awareness on rail safety, and distributing requested hard copy resources to First Nations communities. Their goal is to be able to make rail safety toolkit resources available to all Canadians through community outreach, public service announcements and the continued production and distribution of education materials and resources. |
