Transport Canada civil aviation is the lead organization responsible for coordinating SSP and will do on-going maintenance of the programme.
With SSP, one of Transport Canada’s roles is to facilitate collaborative sharing of safety performance data and risk- factors. By sharing data between partners, we can better improve safety performance and make informed decisions.
SSP will not change any of the organization’s role or functions. The goal of SSP is to bring together the collective safety functions and capabilities of partners to improve safety.
There will be a forum to exchange safety information and best practices.
SSP will enhance the operations of partners.
This will further allow Transport Canada and its partners to make data-driven decisions, actively identify safety hazards and find predictive solutions.
