Overflight authorization.
|
Pursuant to Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) 701.03(1) and (2), flights conducted by an air operator that is not a Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) holder or a foreign state aircraft must receive authorization to overfly and/or perform a technical landing at a Canadian airport. The requests are submitted directly to the Foreign Inspection Division or through the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) or the Ops Centre; however, in all cases, the authorization is issued by the Foreign Inspection Division.
