1 Issue Aerobatic Competency Certificate. Subject to Canadian Aviation Regulation (CAR) 623.06(2)(a), review the request and associated recommendation. Either issue a Transport Canada Acrobatic Flight Demonstration Certificate  (form number 26-0307), or provide the applicant with reasons outlining why the certificate cannot be issued. Requests are submitted to the applicable regional office. 10 20
2 Special Flight Operations Certificate (other than for Special Aviation Events). Subject to Divisions II through IV of CAR  603, review the application for a Special Flight Operations Certificate. Either issue the certificate, or provide the applicant with reasons outlining why the certificate cannot be issued. Requests are submitted to the applicable regional office. 10 20
3 Launch Authorization. Review request for launch authorization to ensure information is complete. Either issue a launch authorization pursuant to CAR 602.44, including any conditions, or provide reasons why the authorization cannot be issued. Requests are submitted to the applicable regional office for all high-powered rocket launches; or to Headquarters for all orbital and sub-orbital launches. 10 20
4 Approval of a Flight Training Device. Upon request, issue a Level 2 or Level 5 flight training device certificate to the operator of a flight training device that has already been certified under the National Simulator Evaluation Program and that is to be used only for training conducted under the authority of CAR 406.
