Current status: Closed

Consultation period: February 25, 2026 to April 13, 2026.

Transport Canada is seeking feedback on the draft application requirements that companies must meet to obtain authorization to launch commercial uncrewed orbital and suborbital rockets in Canada. These requirements are designed to ensure that commercial space launches are conducted safely, responsibly, and in the public interest. The goal of this consultation is to confirm that the proposed requirements are clear, workable, and comprehensive, and to identify and implement improvements during the interim period and inform future regulation-making.
