Proposal to repeal the Airport Vehicle Parking Charges Regulations

Current status: Closed

Open on August 2, 2024 and will be closed on October 4, 2024.

Transport Canada is proud to own and operate many small airports across Canada.

The Airport Vehicle Parking Charges Regulations set the parking fees at 5 airports that Transport Canada owns and operates. These airports are:

  • Penticton, Port Hardy, and Ki’l Kun Xidgwangs Daanaay (Sandspit) airports in British Columbia
  • Sept-Îles Airport in Quebec, and
  • Wabush Airport in Newfoundland and Labrador

As part of our work updating regulations and how we deliver our services, Transport Canada wants to repeal the Airport Vehicle Parking Charges Regulations to introduce market-based parking fees at these airports.
