Introduction

Transport Canada's National Collision Database (NCDB) contains data on all reportable motor vehicle collisions in Canada that the provinces and territories provide each year.

The federal, provincial and territorial governments in Canada work to improve road safety to reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries and to have the safest roads in the world.

If you use your 12- or 15-passenger van strictly for personal use, it may be exempted from the requirements that apply to commercial vehicles. Contact your province/territory to determine requirements for personal use.

The Ports Asset Transfer Program (PATP) was created to facilitate the transfer of Transport Canada-administered port facilities.

Available port facilities

The following facilities are available for transfer through this program.

The video concentrates on addressing critical safety issues affecting emergency responders by providing answers to common questions regarding accidents involving fire impingement of pressure liquefied gas tanks and BLEVEs. Typical questions addressed include: What is a BLEVE and its hazards? What is a safe distance for emergency responders when a fire is close to a pressure tank? How much water is required to keep a tank cool? Does there have to be a fire for a BLEVE to occur?
