Responses to Transportation Safety Board recommendations

As part of its mandate, the TSB may decide to make safety recommendations (either final or interim) directed at TC during or following a class-2 investigation. The Minister receives these recommendations, which are then reviewed and carefully considered by the department. A response to the Board is written and submitted to the Minister for his signature. Pursuant to ss. 26(4) of the Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board Act (CTAISB Act), the Minister must respond to the Board within 90 days from receipt of a recommendation.
