To be considered for program funding, you must demonstrate that the proposed proposal meets the eligibility requirements of the program.
In this proposal and evaluation phase, we will evaluate the strength and merit of your proposal, to prioritize and allocate funding that demonstrate strong support of the Commemoration Fund’s objectives.
Organizations will be asked to meet with the families to ensure their best interests will be met.
Screening for eligibility
Your application will be:
- screened for eligibility against the eligible recipients and activities listed below
- assessed for quality in relation to the program objectives:
- design and administer a post-secondary scholarship to be available to students accepted into a Canadian post-secondary institution (including international students)
Eligible recipients
- Canadian registered not-for-profit organizations with expertise in the design and delivery of scholarship programs aimed at domestic and international students studying in Canada, multiple organizations can submit a joint proposal
- Organization must be aligned with the nature and spirit of the Commemoration Fund, including inclusivity
- Organization must be in good standing with the federal government and in the global community
Eligible Activities
- The design and/or delivery of scholarship programs supporting Canadian and international students studying in Canada. (See assessment criteria for further details)
- The administration of a scholarship program for 5 years
