This study assesses the competitiveness impacts of electronically limiting the speed of heavy trucks in Canada. This assessment is provided for two scenarios. The first scenario is with the policy implemented only by Ontario and Quebec. The second scenario is with the policy implemented throughout Canada.
Q1: What is a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV)?
A1: An LSV is a class of small, lightweight electric vehicles that was originally introduced to meet the short distance transportation needs of residents of gated communities. LSVs have four wheels and drive at a maximum speed of between 32 km/h and 40 km/h.
Q2: How is a LSV different from an electric passenger car?
This flight test guide contains procedures and guidelines for the conduct of Competency Checks required under Subpart 604 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations. This guide is for use by Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors (CASI) and individuals qualified to conduct this test, as well as pilot candidates.
