This report summarizes the latest Canada-wide primary data collection efforts (online inventory databases and dealership phone surveys) to quantify the zero-emission vehicles in inventory across the country. The report presents data that was collected in four separate periods – Feb 2023, June 2023, Nov 2023, and Feb 2024.

Made to Order and Online Purchasing Trends

The purpose of the study was to explore, gather and compile information on two key areas within the Canadian light-duty vehicle market: build-to-order and online sales. Both qualitative (interviews with manufacturers, dealerships, consumer representatives) and quantitative (proprietary DesRosiers survey data) methodologies were employed to characterize the situation in 2024 as well as project how these two key areas will evolve in the coming years.
