PNR-009-2015 The purpose of this exemption is to allow Phoenix Heli-Flight (hereafter “air operator”) and its flight crew members to conduct a flight at night in Visual Flight Rules (VFR) when operating with NVIS for the purposes of a police operation that is conducted in the service of a police authority or for the purposes of saving human life, a) at no less than 500 feet above the highest obstacle located within 500 feet from the centre line of the route, except during landing and take-offs; and b) on a route which has not been established in accordance with the Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS).

NCR-012-2017 The purpose of this exemption is to allow the pilot-in-command of a basic ultra-light aeroplane to operate in any other Class E airspace not referred to in paragraphs 602.29(2)(a) or (b) of the CARs. In particular, this exemption will provide pilots of basic ultra-light aeroplanes access to altitudes that are required to safely conduct training activities, such as stalls.

NCR-004-2017 The purpose of this exemption is to allow a Canadian air operator to introduce a model of aeroplane into its fleet for the purpose of carrying passengers without having to carry out a successful demonstration of its emergency evacuation procedures for that model of aeroplane when a successful demonstration has already been conducted for another model of aeroplane by the Canadian air operator. In order to exercise the privileges of this exemption, no difference shall exist in the location of the flight attendants and their emergency evacuation duties and procedures, the number, location or type of emergency exits, or the number, location or type of opening mechanisms for the emergency exits between the model of aeroplane for which a successful demonstration has been conducted and the model of aeroplane being introduced.
